I have 1 simple question, but took me several days so far to get an answer.
My status is as follow
I spent 3 and half years with former employer X, so I already applied for extension for another 3 years. And then I changed my job with current Employer Y, and got new petition. Very beginning of next year, my 6 years will be expired. I already applied for GC year and half ago.
Now I am trying to apply for another 1 year extention, my lawyer said I need to pay Training fee which is $1500 in addition to I-129 fee. I found following sentence
'The training fee is paid one time to initially grant the H-1B petition and to extend H-1B status. But if this is the second or subsequent extension with the same employer, then the training fee is not required.'
My lawyer said my case is not applicable on this sentence because this will be first extension with current employer. What my lawyer is telling me is true?
