When we mention traffic tickets on the N400 form, should we mention full details like ticket description: speeding, Red light crossing etc or simply saying Traffic citation should be enough?
I would recommend providing a short description on the violation - speeding, stop sign violation, cell phone usage, etc. You can provide what the outcome was - no charges, paid fine (with $ amt). Make sure you have documentation proving that you paid the fine. You can get that from the court that processed your case (or fine). If you (or the court cant find it), show proof of making an attempt to get the record.
One thing I'd recommend - get your driving record from the DMV. Then for each violation listed on the records document, try and get the relevant information.
This was the approach I took, so please take the advice accordingly.
Should we send the court documentation along with the N400 or just bring to the interview? Though in the Instructions it says you do not need to provide the documentation for tickets less than $500 and my tickets were even below $100.
I put the short description of the ticket (speeding, illegal lane change), and the $ amount. I did not send any documentation, per instructions on the N-400 form.
