Traffic Ticket any impact on getting VISA ?

Hi

My friend got a traffic ticket an year back. It is showing in Background & criminal history as an offence, But no detailed description was given. And the case was dismissed rightaway.
Is it going affect in getting his VISA stamp.
When the VISA officer finds this , will he rightaway put him 221-g or cancel ?
He never got any fingerprinting done so far.He has been in US for 4 years.
Is traffic ticket is common to show up in background& criminal history?
Pl someone advise.

I dont think traffic tickets will show up in background and criminal record checks.... It is jus a traffic violation....
