I received two traffic speeding tickets about 2 years apart, not arrested, not reckless driving, but, pulled over and issued the ticket. What would be a correct way of answering these questions on the N-400?
Here is the set of answers that seem to be appropriate for the two speeding tickets (those were the only two citations / offenses committed by me). The DMV records show CONVICTED of speeding. By the way, the fine for the 1st ticket was $65 and the second ticket was $45. I mailed the check for the first ticket and voluntarily appeared in court for the second one.
15. Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested?
Yes
16. Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer (including USCIS or former INS and military officers) for any reason?
Yes
18. Have you ever been convicted of a crime or offense?
Yes
Details of the two traffic tickets are given in the table following question 21 in Part 10.
