Tracking status of Green plastic card

You can use your I-485 SRC# to track your green card status.
The message should change from "This case has been approved ..."
to "Card has been ordered ...". You use the same number that is
provided on your approval notice and the TSC automated system (214-381-1423).
You can also enquire on the status by filling Form G-731T if 90
days have passed since you have applied.

Hi I am waiting for an I-140 approval with the SRC # 01-227-5****.
Do you have any idea how I can get information on my case from INS, Texas?

Currently, all the green card production requests are processed by the NSC. Even though the NSC is somewhat equipped to produce the plastic cards, it currently focuses on border crossing cards and EAD cards. For the green cards, the NSC scans the pictures and required form to a card production facility in the East Coast and NSC does not print the plastic card itself, at least for now. However, the card production facility in the East Coast is currently experiencing a backlog, causing delays in issuance of the plastic green card. People need patience.
