Tracker: For cases became current on March 1, 2006

Hi,

I observed VSC has become very slow in approving I485 cases after March 1, 2006. So, I am trying to figure out the status (approved/name check pending/ don't know etc) of the cases which became current on March 1, 2006.

My case became current on March 1, 2006 and had LUD on 03/02/2006 (see signature below for other details). Absolutely no developments after that.

Hesitant to call VSC as my ND is not past the processing date published by them (April 30, 2006).

I don't think it is VSC that has become slow. There are quite a few cases that have been approved in the last few days. If your priority date is current AND you've passed the name check, then you can expect quick approval. Now whether name check is just an excuse or not is debatable - but going by the posts on this forum, it would seem that there are far more people stuck in name check for more than 6 months than the 1% that INS officially admits.

My PD became current on Mar 1 but there have been no LUDs. On calling 6-7 weeks back, I was told file is in the "security check area" a.k.a. name check black hole.
