TPS for Syrians.

hi
I am an international student in the US holding F1 visa.
I want to apply for the TPS status.
how long does it take till I get a decision?
can I work while waiting for the decision?
if my TPS was granted ,can I still apply for political asylum?
if I get marry to a US citizen while waiting for my TPS or after it is granted ,will there be a problem?
I want to drop school once I get my TPS accepted ,will that cause any problems?

3 month from the date specified as physical presence date. make sure in application your code is c19
you can NOT work till you have authorization
you can apply for asylum any time.
if you marry US citizen you apply for adjustment of status and TPS will help in that definitely.
the problem if TPS for your country ends you will be out of status, so while you are in the TPS you have to sort out your status so to be ready

I wouldn't. I was on a F1 visa also and I applied for asylum. I dropped my F1 after my decision! Once you apply for TPS, your original status won't be F1 anymore then you will be out of status. This is just my opinion. GET A LAWYER AND DO NOT TRY TO FILE YOUR PAPERS ON YOUR OWN.

did any body get their work authorization based on TPS ?
i have been waiting for 2 months and nothing i did the biometrics and still waiting
