tough situation please advice

Hello I am here on b1/b2 visa , i am physician from india. i was here for my csa and my i 94 is till 29 dec,
now i wanna apply for extension of my visa for step3 . do u think telling the uscis that i wan to have extension giving step3 and being in the match process help me get an extension . has any body been in my situation please advice is needed asap thanks

given the situation as it is now, it might be much better to go back and come again if you have a multiple entry visa. i've heard that extensions r very hard to come by and they take a while to get approved. of course, this is only hearsay.
5 yrs ago, my friend and i were in the same boat, i went back and came again, he applied for an extension and got denied.

thanks for the reply. really appreciate it.how long did u take to come back.i mean did u come back immediately or after some time?? also did ur friend get out of status bieng deined the extension????thanksagain

i came back in a month's time but there is no reason why u cant come back immediately. u might even consider going to canada and re-entering if u have a valid visa.my friend did go out of status but left when he was rejected for the extension. it did not affect him getting the J1 though- thankfully!
