TOUGH: Form DS-156 for would be spouse?

Hi,
I am getting married in a few months, but i am planning to take the VFS visa appointment in a few days.

I understand one has to fill form DS-156 online for self and would be spouse (I would be married before the interview date)

Now the questions i have on DS-156

Item 17. Marital Status - should i put married?

Item 18, Spouse's Full Name - should i put it there now?

I am inclinced to say married for 17 and put name for 18 since we would be married before the interview date.

Please offer your opinions

What I would do is, email the consulate and find out what they say...

If you are going for stamping at chennai email them at chennainiv@state.gov, for other counsellor location check out vfs website.
