Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issues its Fiscal Year 2004 report for November 2003, released on December 31, 2003: The highlights are as follows:
(i) Total immigration application pending cases reached 5,429,464, an 18 percent increase when compared to November 2002;
(ii) Major volumes in November 2003 receipts include:
(a) I-765: 107,888 Employment Authorization Document applications;
(b) I-130: 49,456 Alien Relative petitions;
(c) I-485: 40,463 Permanent Resident Adjustment of Status applications; and
(d) I-90: 37,793 Green Card renewals/replacements.
(iii) Major volumes of pending cases at the end of November 2003 include:
(a) I-765: 368,429 Employment Authorization Document applications;
(b) I-130: 1,926,117 Alien Relative petitions;
(c) I-485: 1,240,111 Permanent Resident Adjustment of Status applications; and
(d) I-90: 698,118 Green Card renewals/replacements.
