Topic: H4 stamping, H1 papers validity

Hi all,
I am on H4 visa and applied for H1B. I got H1 approval starting from Oct1st 2005.
Now I am planning to go to India. And My H4 also expired on passport. Can I go for H4 Stamping and comeback to USA with H4 on return before Oct1st? Will it effect my H1 Approval.
Any help would be appreciated.

Technically you can do but in DS-156 there is column asking , are you going to work in US, you need to mention about the approval of H1b valid from Oct 1st 2005. Another thing if you leave the country on H4 and re-enter in H4 status, you cannot use the approved h1b untill and unless you get a H1 visa stamped because the I-94 issued along with your H1-b is null and void.
