Wish I knew about the delay associated with name change. My interview was in April, still waiting for the oath notification. Will just have to wait I guess....

I did the same mistake . changed my name on interview NOW checking my mail box like thats the only thing in my mind.

Can u plz post if u have recieved ur oath letter or not.?

Sorry to hear that you have been waiting for oath since April. I am trying to find out if "name change" has anything to do with delayed oath by closely following the post in this forum. So, would you please share your time line & svcs center info so that other people might be benefitted from it. Hope your waiting period will be ended soon. !!!!Thanks!!!!
 
Yes I became a citizen July 25th. My service center is Baltimore, MD. It tool me approxiamately 3 1/2 months to get my oath with a name change. Good Luck to you!
 
Just an observation

From what I gather reading various forums the delay in getting the Oath letter is not caused by the name change but by an additional background check that BCIS does after the intervew.

Again, that's just an impression I am getting here and at other places.
