Bad news the old Hag down in delaware wouldn't give me a card and told me off for being one whole minute late.
If you have seen my calculations correct? post you will know i have been having trouble with the EAD.
Two people one an immigration officer told me they just remove the RFE time and then calculate the 90 days from there in my case, 106 - 14 for RFE = 92 days.
This old bat said no, 90 days from the RFE receipt date.
Its beyond a joke anymore i am seriously thinking of killing myself or just plain going home where i am free as a bird to work and travel as i please and England aint so bad at all.
I told her my wife was in the hospital and i am flat broke and out of work and she had zero compassion for me (all true, no lie)
WHO IN THIS COUNTRY KNOWS WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON????
I cannot call any of the District offices to find out anything and the idiots on the 1800 number don't know anything.
i gotta drive for miles to be told "get lost" in effect.
i drove 256 miles for almost 6 stinking hours to be told something the opposite of what i was informed and If i call the 1800 number they are wrong because they are not "immigration officers" she says.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE NUMBER THEN??
Seriously i may have to find illegal under the table work if this carries on.
My case has had biometrics done 2 MONTHS AGO when i had the i-485 ones done and i sent the RFE back next day WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG THE LDU IS STUCK AT the first of stinking April ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.
50 dollars in GAS and Toll fees down the tube.

AMERICA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't go as far to say that America sucks but the immigration procedure has some issues.

I'm sorry to hear what happened. Remember I told you that's what it said in my RFE? I guess for some reason they didn't put that in yours. My husband and I even moved our wedding day earlier so that we could have 90 days in case we needed to go for an iEAD, we thought we had it all covered for me to start to work early June...we didn't. According to my RFE we won't even be able to get an iEAD till late July.

Hmm I'm not sure what else you can do now. Did the officer tell you any updates in your case? When is your RFE receipt date?

Oh no. This sucks. :(
I really thought you could get an i-EAD after 90 days no matter what.

Anyone has a solution to this?

Token Ranger, hang in there. It really sucks, maybe your problem can still be solved. I know it doesn't help much but I sympathize with you.
Am a big England fan myself.. :)

March 27th my case was updated to show they recieved it on that date, it was updated daily up until april first, still waiting almost 2 weeks later.
If they deny it i am gonna Be angry.

No america doesn't suck, its a privelige and an honour that i can live here but i am tired of being kept prisoner, wondering when i can work, worrying about how the bills are gonna get paid.
what makes it worse is 11 million illegals get to go on the fast track to citizenship while we are struggling so much with all of this.

Your RFE received date is sooo late!! I'm so sorry. That makes late June the earliest you could get an iEAD. We'll I don't even get my RFE RN yet :(

Don't go by the online status. Personally, it's worked really good for me (learned about the RFE online before getting the notice through the mail) but I've heard from a lot of people in this forum that it's not reliable. The 800# is def not reliable, I got a bunch of miss-info from them, this forum is much better, plus I think the only thing they have access to is what you do through your online case status. I was under the impression that the immigration officers would have access to more info during your InfoPASS.

I think I've said this before but I truly believe that it depends on the immigration officer that you get, I don't think they have anything that prevents them from just issuing an iEAD. If you're willing to go the extra mile I guess you can spend a little extra time and money and go again a month from now. This doesn't sound like a good idea but I think it's the only thing that is in your hands to do right now.

For now we can just hope that the actual EAD goes through fast enough so we won't have to wait those extra 90 days.

Stay positive, who knows...maybe you'll get your EAD in the mail one of these days.

Thanks appreciate it but you know what i dont care anymore, forget it i refuse to waste money going down there to have some stupid old hag who hasnt seen the sun in 40 years tell me i cannot have one, 256 miles and i had to borrow the money from my parents back home and now i am overdrawn, she had Zero compassion, too lazy to get off her boney butt and take a photo and a fingerprint, yeah see if the situation is reversed she can turn right out the door and explain to her husband in the hospital that she just wasted 35 dollars of Gas for nothing.

By the way kidney for sale 500 bucks blood type O :)

In the RFE for the EAD, what were they asking for?

Specifically they wanted Evidence that i was petitioned and approved for a K1 visa or i-129.
Which i have in my passport and i have all the receipts for that particular petition.

You frustration is understandable, but believe me, AMERICA DOESN'T SUCK....USCIS SUCKS, and USCIS is not America ;)

Hang in there, the sun will come to your street, trust me, and forget about that stupid idea to kill yourself  I hope it was just a word thrown in the wind on the heat of the moment ;)

Good luck and keep your head up
:)

Wait, so you didn't even have your FPs taken yet?
I said in my first post that i had it done 2 months ago with my I-485 biometrics.
i just brought both receipts and asked nicely if they would do it for me and they did it on this really cool fancy machine with lasers instead of the old ink style. Philly rules.
:)

Yeah USCIS sucks, yeah frustration, tired of the garbage maybe i will schedule another info pass down in philly and try and talk to that same lady or check out some solid info about the rules of issuance regarding the IEAD, where i am gonna find that i dunno but whatever, thanks by the way, i see you finished the process and are now a citizen, congrats.
:)

Hey Sorry to read about this buddy, its always sad to read another immigrant's plight with the USCIS. Im from the U.K too and had it rough for a few years.

I tried to get my EAD back in 2003 at the New York office, after waiting for 90 days. Believe it or not I got to the office and they told me that you have to be one of the first 50 people through the door to get a special piece of paper to go upstairs to continue. So they told me to come back around 2am and wait outside! and laughed..no lie. :( This was before infopass was introduced.

After arriving there the next day at 2am, I camped outside waiting to get this magic piece of paper. There were 29 people already there waiting to get inside (I guess to be the first aswell). Waited till 8am till they opened, after being snowed on and freezing cold. To end a long story I waited through 2 lines and tons of waiting....and finally got my work card at 4:30pm.

We all have it tough, some abit harder than others. Hang in there, and good luck mate.
