To verify address change

About 20 days ago I called USCIS 800 phone number to change address for pending cases and also filed AR-11 form.

Yesterday and today my wife and I tried to call USCIS 800 number to verify if the change had been made. I was told they are only able to make address change but not be able to retrieve address information. I am kind of suspecious about that. And I also remeber somebody posted that they called later to verify the address change. If you have done the same thing before, what did you get?

I also mentioned that my 485 is more than 1 year old but have not got FP and they told me it's taking 33-36 months to process 485 at TSC and no FP is needed and also useless untill the case approaches the 33 months time line. It made feel that if one did not get FP soon after filing 485 it's likely for him to wait for 30 months to get FP. But the truth is not that kind and people are receiving FP at any pace between 2 months to 20 months. Not sure if my address change can trigger my case processing. Please share your experiences.

I experienced the same thing about the address change, and it took me about 32 months to get my FP.
 
My first address change request was on Mar 2002 thru AR-11. I haven't called or informed the Service center. When I received my FP in FEB 2003, I noticed that it had a wrong Service center and also it had my old address. I called the NCSC to verify my address. A nice elderely lady said my address wasn't changed with my Service center. She updated it immediately. Again, a couple of months ago, on suspicion, I called the NCSC to verify my address. They RETRIEVED my address. But they updated it again and told me that I will get a address change confirmation in 45 days. Even after 2 months, I haven't got any!!!
 
mylvka - After you have called the 1-800 number, you can expect a confirmation mail from BCIS within 2 weeks. They also sent me 2 AR-11 forms!! I actually mailed the AR-11 forms before I called the 800 number.
 
One week after filing the AR11, I called the 1800 number and a lady spoke to me took all my details and told me she is going to send an address change request to Texas service center and told me i would get the confirmation. one month is over no confirmation. Today i made another call to National service center and asked her wether see is seeing my new address. She asked me did i file the AR11. I have told her that i filed AR11 and also called for confirmation. She said she is going to send the request to TSC and i should receive confirmation with in 4 weeks.

Looks like they do not have access to the databases of service centers and when i asked about my status , She told me they are processing JAN 01 cases.
 
AFter I got the confirmation mail for change of address, i have rec'd 2 FP notices for both me & my wife in 40 days
On the same day we went for 2nd FP , we rec'd 3rd Fp notice for my wife.
 
I received confirmation letter from TSC

Which confirm the address change. It mentioned 485 case but not other. I know there is no such confirmation letter for the form AR-11.
Is my FP notice on the way? :)

Did you only send the AR 11 to the National Service center or also to TSC?

Is there another form that you send to TSC? or just send a copy of the AR11?

No, AR-11 should be sent to London KY and you can see the clear filing instruction when you download AR-11. I call the 800 number to change address for pending cases. They are different and you need do both.
