Dear All,
i have the following question , i have F2b case and the priority date is sep 95 and as u know they are working in may 95 , and i'm about to recieve P3 within few days and i will be interview in us embassy doha, i want to know if NVC has hand on putting the interview date for me and when can i expect to have my interview date ? thanks in advance

You are asking, who would fix your appointment date, is it
the NVC or the US Consulate in Doha, Qatar?

In a case like yours, I have no idea.

I agree with Raju on this one! But here is come clarification which may help:

* Normally your consulate of choice ultimately & directly decides the exact immigrant interview date after they have received your p3 packet

* NVC indirectly has a hand in affecting your interview date in the sense that if your p3 review is complete in 1 week your papers got to consulate that much early and you get an interview sooner than expected but at the same time if nvc completes review in 8 weeks (very few instances) then your papers go to consulate at a later date than expected and hence you will get interivew at a later date!

Again this is true with most consulates, especially Indian consulate!

So to answer your quesiton in 1 line:
"Consulate has direct and NVC has indirect impact on IV date"
