I'm Irish and my wife is American. We have started the process to get my visa but have not got an interview date yet.
We are both in secure jobs and own our house in Ireland. I'm in sales and marketing and my wife is a nurse.
Our plan was to move to Raleigh NC in the next 6 months. My concern is how hard will it be to get jobs? Can anyone tell me what the market is like there?
Secondly we hope to buy a home and 2 cars when sortly after we get there but I have no credit history in the states and my wife hasn't lived there for nearly 8 years. Will we find it hard to secure a mortgage and car repayment loans etc? If so does anyone have any advice on the best way to build a credit history. If I could prove I have good credit in ireland, would that help?
We have a pretty secure life at the moment but are ready for a change.
