I have read a lot of valuable advices you have put on the site, and it has been really helpful to me. Now I need your advice for my own case. Due to crporate restructuring I filed I-140 amendment and it was approved recently. My I-485 was filed 12/20/2000, and it is still pending. My question is \'Do I have to send the approval notice to the INS so that they will start to adjudicate my case, or they will automatically start to review my case now that the new I-140 has been approved?" Thank you in advance.
 
INS isn\'t very good at matching unsolicited mail with cases but it can\'t hurt to send it

I don\'t know for certain if it is absolutely necessary but I\'d send it and a letter.
