Here is the story:
I am on the 5th year of my H1B (and waiting for my labor approval)
My friend has a consulting company in india and he needs my help - for some projects he may need a person in the US who can take calls from the client and sometimes meet them in person to gather reuirements or help them technically. I am in no way involved in any kind of payment or money transaction.
For this, my friends company will not pay me anything. The only interest I have is that after I get my greencard, I can startup a local company here in the US and link with his company for outsourcing etc.
Do you think I will be violating any law if I do this?
Any help will be appreciated.
