to go medical or not to go medical

My lawyer told me I can hold off to take the medical until after the interview. I did not get a request for medical in the interview notification letter. Should I go take it or shouldn't I? Interview is end of May.

do it before you go to the interview, i don't think you want your case to be delayed by a picky IO

it's better be prepared for everything before interview

good luck!

Are you the one who applied in 2003 for green card?

I know it's weird, but I can't help it.

It is regular adjustment of status based on marriage. I heard they vaccinate against TB and I always have had bad reaction on TB vaccines (I've had 3 of them since I was a kid-don't have my vaccine carton though). I pass out every time I get a vaccine or they draw my blood. Also I hate gynecologists ... so, that is why I don't want to take it if I don't have to. :)

I always show positive on the TB skin reaction test too, I told that to my doctor, and I told him I wanted to go get a Xray so I didnt have to come back to get my skin read if I knew it would come out positive. Just go get an Xray first.

edit: oh and by the way... you HAVE to get the exam done. No questions about it, you will also need to get up to date on all your shots. I had about 4 of them put in. So get prepared to pass out :) Just go and get it over with already because you have no choice.

No, I got married in 2004 and applied in 2005.

I didn't know that you could get through the process without providing the medical. But I do know that you will have to get it done before you are approved for green card. You might as well use the 'waiting time' to do it so when you do go to interview, you will have it, and possibly have everything in order to get approval as soon as possible.

Thanks guys! I guess I am doomed for the thing. I guess I should change my lawyer too!:D

I'll do the medical. Oh, sweet sacrifices ...

Hi:

You are not REQUIRED to take the medical. You are always free to return to your country of citizenship without making any sacrifices. I don't know why you think you are doomed.
