TO EB2 or to EB3

I have a BS in Computer Science with 8 years of progressive work experience. The experience to be put on 750A(LCA) is 3 years. My sponsor is willing to bump it to 5 years because that will place me in the EB2 category.

Which one is advisable given the current state of affairs?
Does EB2/EB3 filing status affect LCA ?
I know it counts at the time of I-485 filing.

Yes i had 7 years before i joined the company.

I think one needs LCA -- LABOR CONDITION APPLICATION for applying H1-B. and LABOR CERTIFICATION ATTESTATION for Green card.

My concern does applying LCA in EB3 take longer to approve than applying it in EB2. Does it affect I-140? I want to take the fastest route because i dont have much time left on my H1.

I have a previous filing of GC which reached I-140 approval stage and then i had to drop it because the company went out of business. I am not worried about the 485 stage because i am told i can use the PD(October 99) from the previous filing to file my I-485 if my PD in the new case is not current when i am ready to file for 485.
