My H1 and my wifes H4 are expiring on 09/30/01 (this month end). My H1 Extension was filed a month back and I have receipt of it. But my lawyer did not file my wife\'s H4 extension (his mistake). Meanwhile, I was ready with I-485 applications and we filed I-485 and EAD for my wife(only 4 days back). These documents were already mailed to INS. My lawyer says my wife does not need an H4 Extension to be filed as we already submitted I-485 AOS and so her status will be mainted. Is this true ? Please advise me.
