CHANCES OF GC APPROVED will depend on

After going through the USCIS 485 SOP procedures, I came to understand the following things.

Before the Month
They will identify all the cases that can be adjudicated next month and request the number of VISA that needed by that service center.

Starting of the Month
They will open all the cases that can be adjudicated during that month as per the Visa Bulletin and will be ready to be assigned to officers.

At this point they will make sure the following.
1. All Initial Evidence is available (Audit)
2. Name Check is completed

Assigned to the Officer.
Typically the officer needs to do 4 Page Actions from start to end. Depending on the expertise each officer can process a 485 application within 30 Minutes.

First thing he is going to look for it were a) Initial documentary evidence B) NC Cleared, C) FP is available to him online.

Process of officer
Once all the things were available for the case,
First thing in the process is ASSIGN VISA Number.

Then he will do rest of the four pages as mentioned in the 485 SOP procedures and then print the approval notice.

In the process
If he needs additional information or wants to confirm, he generates RFE or a Phone call.

If the FP is not available online even though it is processed. Then the case will be held.

In the process, If he need to re-work on the case, however if the dates changed in the visa bulletin, He will keep the application “Visa on Hold”

Basically they will not provide any information if we ask the “ABOUT CASE STATUS”

Hear is the approach.
First if the online message does not change after giving Finger Prints…or any message after the last action. If we ask the case status they will not say any thing. So we need to point at the problems they have in their system and we are worried and want to confirm.

You need to say.
YOU ---Madam I had given the finger prints on xx/xx/2007, however it don’t see the status online. I am very much concerned and want to find out if the USCIS received the finger prints.

USCIS –IO. It might be received, but online message does not reflect. Let me see. What is the case number, what is your address, what is you’re#, what is the birth date etc…

After going through above.

USCIS –IO. Yes we received the FP.

YOU – Is my name check cleared.

USCIS-IO … She will answer.

You – Is it assigned to the officer.

USCIS-IO: she will answer.

For some people they mentioned that Visa Number is allocated and some people they mentioned it is assigned to the officer.

Following were the good signs for case approvals.
1. NC Received.
2. FP processed and Loaded into their system
3. Assigned to the officer.

REST IS ALL TIMING, if visa bulletin changes. Then we are out of luck.
