Hi, Dazzling:

From you messages, seems like you filed MTR without any USCIS FORM (I assume it should be I-290A which I can not find), just a plain letter, I wonder how do you track the MTR ? If USCIS decide it to reopen your case, it will be reflected in your I-140/I-485 online status ? Thanks,

I have been told that if they decided to re-open the case, your 290-A should say approved on online status, and 485/140 cases should say, its has been reopened...blah..blah...

but there is no I-290A on uscis website at all. Did your attorney sent you a copy of your MTR ?

After reading your post, I researched a bit myself. You are right there is no 290A form on USCIS website. What I feel is that there is no form actually at all for 290A cases. You just have to send a letter with the subject, "Motion to Reopen/Reconsider"

I do not remember filling any forms myself. I think there was no form at all, But dont take my word for it, Please confirm it with somebody

Check this link: it says about filing 290A. It does not say anything about the form, so i guessed there must be no form

how about your case ?
if no form to be used, just a letter, then how can we track the case, it will be reflected in I-140/485 online status.
Does your MTR sent date and Received Date is based upon Express Mail / Fedex ?

Already told you that once they cash the check, you will get the EAC number and then you can track the case number just like you do with other cases
