My wifes EAD is expiring in Dec05 and has not used that EAD and she has no plans of working yet .can i apply for her EAD after the current one expires , say in jan06 .Will it create problems or is it ok to do so?

I was in exactly the same situation. My EAD expired long time back (have valid H1 though), my wofe's expired in August 05. Did not bother to renew it as none of us used it, and do not plan to use it in the future. Hope this helps.
