My mom wanted to apply for a Visitor's visa to US: Our property (home) is still in my father's name (he passed away couple of years back). This property doesnt have my mom's name. Will there be any problem of getting visa if she show the property which is still in my father's name ?

She can produce the death certificate of my father and affidavit of marriage certificate also produce a letter by saying that after the death of husband, as per Indian rule, the property goes to wife and can be notorize it. Will that be enough ?

All she has on her name is : Bank accounts, Govt.Pension papers, Property tax papers (recently mom changed the name to her's), utility bills etc.

Does anyone has these kind of situation ? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance!!

my suggestion is to get the property transferred in your mom's name. This is required for not only he visa but to safeguard her interests. Imagine if in her absence someone gets it transferred to their name. You will be stuck in a legal soup.
Do that, it might take some grease but can be done.
