Finally, I can file 485. I have been waiting for more than 4yrs . My I-140 is approved and my wife was planning to start residency on J1 visa coming july . She has already applied for DS-2019 thro' ECFMG. My question is that is the issuance of DS-2019 going to make any difference in our application? Is it binding? And can she now get EAD before the start dates ie july?

Any thoughts and ideas are more than welcomed

It's so close.I know some friends who have got EAD within 6 weeks of filing 485/765.I have suffered through J-1 and your wife is so close.You may like to talk to Program Director as they do have 3-4 weeks vacation time and sometimes your wife may be allowed to join at a later date.
One person I knew had his J-1 approved but decided to not join on July 1 /continued on H4 and next year got H-1.
My suggestion will be to check with a good immigration lawyer as so many laws have changed about J-1 in last 2-3 years.
