Folks,
I have been a member of this forum for a short time but I wanted to throw out an idea. I am also a member of other forums (e.g. frequent flier programs) where members get together for dinners and discuss their passion (e.g. airlines and frequent flyer programs). I am proposing that if folks would like to get together just to share experiences/chat about immigration, I would be happy to organize something like this in the NY area.

We are all in this together and sharing experiences would be great.

Please reply to this thread and let everyone know your thoughts.

Yes, of course, NYC/Northern NJ area. I am thinking of an event in NYC and if anyone else wants to come from further away, of course they would not be excluded...

When is it good for folks to get together? It sounds like so far Northern NJ may be a good place to meet.

I don't think any of us would want to do this over the weekend, so I propose dinner after work.

If you like this idea, please provide the following info and I will be sure to organize something:

1. Town you live in (if you feel comfortable sharing - this is with the sole purpose of determining the best location):

2. Days of week you prefer to meet:
3. Time you prefer to meet:
4. Number of persons attending:

I am thinking of organizing something in September so when suggesting times/days of week, be mindful of your September schedules.
