TN with Full time Job, Self Employed part Time

Hi All,

I got my TN visa in march 2008 for a full time job in Tx. I have offers for part time job in Canada working from my appartment in Tx. I called USCIS, but they don't really know if I can or can't work as self employed.

I can't really be self-employed from Canada and living in the US ?
So I would need to be self-employed in the US, and work with Canadian company right?

Anyone knows ???

I see a lot of post talking about going from TN to GC. I was told not to do that else you can't renew your TN. I that true ?
