Hi Everyone,

I travel to client sites every Monday and return to Canada on Friday.

To work at client sites, I have gotten a TN visa even though my employer is a Canadian subsidiary of an American company (e.g. IBM Canada).

1) Is it possible to apply for a greencard even if my permanent address (for now) is in Canada?

2) Can I still apply using the perm process?

Thanks

Yes it is possible to apply for a Green Card even if you live outside the US. The only difference is that once your I-140 petition has been approved, you will they be interviewed at the US consulate in Montreal. If the interview goes well, and it should, you will be granted Permanent Resident Status (Green Card).
