I got rejected today at the Toronto Airport because I did not have a Support Letter from my employer.
I am joining a small electric boat startup as a software engineer. My degree is in Industrial Engineering and I have worked as one for 6 years but I have also taken courses on the side and completed a boot camp to become a software engineer. I also have a Professional Engineer designation in the province of Ontario. The startup I am joining is only about 20-30 people and thus does not have the immigration resources that other companies do.
I was wondering if someone could share their Support Letter who's been in similar shoes where your degree is a bit different than the role you're in.
