I applied my TN online and submitted suporting doc to california center. Now they ask proof of evidence:

1) canadian citizanship (I knew that is the copy of passport)

2) Temporary Entry: submit the following evidence to establish that the applicant's entry will be temp. submit evidence to demonstrate that the applicant's work assignment in the US will end at predictable time; that she will depart unpon completion of the assignment; and that the applicant has no intention of establishing permanent residence.

I had a letter from my company that said that the employment period will be 06/01/07 to 06/01/08 when I submit my supporting doc. Why they still asking above doc?

Anybody has any idea( or same exp )on this . thank you for your info.

If it's the form letter I'm thinking of, I got the same thing a year ago. Mine even went so far as to ask how the job was related to the company etc. It was written in extremely poor English and we had to review it three time to understand what they were asking for. I think that the processor has a check list of things that they would like to see, and that you're just providing the rest of that checklist information.

I have never had a problem and my list was extensive.

So here's the deal.

1. Show them the passport picture page.

2. Just answer the questions as they have asked them. If you notice they have asked the same question with respect to the dates of employment - that's how incompetent they are.

Have the company say it's a temporary assignment. Have them also say that at the end of the assignment that you will depart if need be. In addition to this they can also say that this offer is not intended to be an offer to imply permanent residency.

Done.

Don't forget you are still good for 240 days either from the day they received the request for extension or the date your TN expires (I can't remember which it is).

Don't worry, everything should be fine.

Thanks, Simsd, for your info.

By the way, I have an approved I-140, and I'm waiting for 485 becoming current. If the company just write another letter to confirm this is a temp assignment, will this works. Thank you.
