I want to ask you about the PERM. How many TN's did you go through before going for the PERM? Also How long did it take you and what were the key points?. How did you start the PERM process before getting your H1B?

gunt: you mentioned that I will carry extra contraband, can you please describe that in detail. The other post nelsona mention that you just have to go out to activate the H1b if you travel before the approval.
Please shed some light in detail, I really wanna travel in July, but if it is a contraband in any way I will try to avoid it.
on my 2nd TN the employer filled the PERM for me then I went outside North America and when I came back the I renew it again rather then taking the 8 months TN with no problem. now H1b is in process... lets hope for good.
