Hi All, I just have two questions. Your answer will be highly appreciated

1- I am a Canadian citizen and working in the US but my wife is not Canadian and she is back home. What will be the process to bring here to the US? Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

2- My PERM application was filed by my employer(Recruiter) and it is approved. But now I am switching job to direct to the employer which is paying way better than this one. So is there any way to my new employer will start the process where it ends or this all has to be from zero ?

Your wife can come to US on TD & if your priority date is current for your employment based classification & country of chargeability, You both can file I-485 concurrently with I-140. Keep in mind country of chargeability is linked to your country of birth not where you are citizen of.

If you choose to go with new employer every thing has to start from scratch.

1. Your wife will need a consular US visa (TD) to join you in the US.
2. Since you have changed the employer, your new employer will have to start the process from the scratch (file a new Labor certification / PERM).

Note:

a. If you had changed job after your I-140 approval, you could have recaptured your priority date.
b. You are way early in the process for thinking about I-140/I-485 - so let's focus only on 1 and 2 above, for now.
