TN and Engineer

Do you need to show an intent to register as an engineer with the applicable state licensing board? I would have B.ENg. and P.Eng. (APENS). I don't think so but if it adds to my case during the somewhat subjective border evaluation then I will do it. Anyone have experience with this?

thanks

Job Title

Hi,

All my life I have worked as a DSP engineer or an Embedded Systems Engineer or Firmware engineer. My new job title is Platform engineer, but my duties are those of DSP engineer.

The lawyer wants to document the TN application with "Platform Engineer" as a title, would this hurt me or not if I went to Labour certification for H1B or GC stages later down the road?

Also how good are those people who check for equivelancy of degrees? They rejected my MSc and accepted my BSc.( even though the Msc is from a better known university)

Many thankss.

Do you need a stamp? That's the only reason I could see you wanting to register with the state licensing board. If you're doing design work then someone else can stamp the drawings. Are you an ME? EE? CE?

Hi,

Thank you for the timely responses. No I don't need to stamp my designs, I am a BSc. MSc. in EE but i do mainly DSP and embedded sytems engineering work.
I was just thinking this might cause me a problem since all my Employement Verification Letters had Embedded Systems or DSP engineer as title..
