Title/position change after I-485 approval

How long should one wait after I-485 approval before changing their job position/title. In this case, it is with the SAME employer, and the same department. It would be a promotion from Network Engineer to Network Manager. My lawyer recommended waiting 6 months after approval. That seems like a very long time.

I think you can change immediately. Its not advisable to change employers before 6 months but change in title should be fine.
