Hi,
i was wondering if anyone has experience with postponing CP interview. Here\'s my situation:
- Packet 3 sent to consulate in Mumbai. I applied single.
- I was expecting April interview date but looks like I am NOT in the list for April
- I am planning on getting married in India before the interview and including my spouse in my interview. Instead of rushing everything in 2-3 weeeks, I would prefer to postpone my interview by a couple of months.
Question:
1) Can i call now and request a deferral of interview? (Even though I don\'t have an interview date) ..or should I wait till I get an interview date and then call to postpone?
2) Can the consulate refuse to postpone? Does one have to give a reason?
I think I am fairly comfortable with my job and don\'t think 2-3 months deferral is a risk.
