Hello All,

My lawyer just sent the fees to the NVC. The next step is the P3 from NVC.

I wanted to gauge the approx interview date.

best case scenario - early Jan
worst case - mid march.

Let me know what you guys think??

I think you meant attorneys have mailed fees to st louis, not nvc.

Assume 2 weeks from mailing fees for encashing of check.
1 week for st louis to inform nvc of such encashment.
Another 2 weeks for nvc to generate p3.
another 1 week for you to receive from lawyers.
1 week for you to fill up p3 and mail to nvc.
2 weeks for nvc to accept receipt.
3 weeks fro nvc to complete the p3 review.
2 weeks for nvc to send p3 to consulate.
After p3 entered in consulate system, about about 30-35 days to receive the p4 and another 30-35 days to get cp interview.

So if you total...you should expect cp interview around jan 04 ..with slim chance of december 03. Remember nov-dec is holiday season...not sure if this may delay things since there would be lesser working days for nvc and consulate to process cases.
 
You have good chance to get interview in december. Download DS-230 fillable forms online, fill your info, take a printout and keep them ready. As soon as you get P3 packet, you can give the filled DS-230 forms and barcode sheet to your lawyer and ask them to send it by USPS expressmail or FedEx/UPS overnight mail. I hope your lawyer sent your fees by expressmail. If the information in your forms are correct and doesnt generate any query from NVC, you might get Dec interview.
 
I concur with cannon576 that one place where you can save some time is by filling out P3 papers beforehand and sending them to your lawyers and instruct them to include the barcode sheet and mail the completed P3 to nvc. Request lawyers to use overnight mail. This will save you approx 2-2.5 weeks thus enhancing your chance for dec 03.

Even I sent the NVC fees on August 5th.
I have not got the P3 yet..

sunitha you should be getting p3 soon. what does the nvc avm message say for you? does it say p3 generated/ p3 mailed/ fee bill issued?

The AVm says that "NVC is waiting on the return of the Biographical form from the lawyer"

This message means that P3 has been mailed to your lawyers. Allow 10-15 days from this the date this message got updated for you/ your lawyers to receive the p3.

In my case, my p3 was mailed 5/20 and my lawyers received on 5/27 and i received on 5/30. So allow about 2 weeks to receive the p3.
