Does anybody know if there is a difference in the timeline to adjudicate bethween those adjusting based being an adult unmarried son/daughter of a US Citizen as opposed to those adjusting on being married to a US Citizen? Do the offices keep these on the same adjudication schedule?

Any info and/or experience would be appreciated.

What's up QDude:

I think these two cases fall under two different priorities under USCIS guideline. They prioritize cases. Son/Daughter of a USC a line above a spouse of a USC. So theoretically, they give more weight to USC chidren
under 21, than to a spouse.

this is from the USCIS website:
The immediate relatives of U.S. citizens, which includes parents, spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21, do not have to wait for an immigrant visa number to become available once the application filed for them is approved by the USCIS. An immigrant visa number will be immediately available for immediate relatives of U.S. citizens.

So to answer your question:
Unmarried children of USC under age of 21 have same priority as the spouse of USC and have similar timelines for adjudicating.

Unmarried children of USC over 21 years of age fall under first preference category and have to wait for an immigrant visa to be available. and hence have different timelines.
