In some places, it may be available to take the Oath the very same day as the interview. If not, the INS will notify you of the ceremony date with a notice. If I\'m not mistaken the ceremony is only twice a year.

Should you NOT be able to attend your oath ceremony, you should return the
notice (Form 445) that was sent to you by the INS, along with a letter of explanation as to why you are not able to attend. It\'s always best to make a copy for your reference. The INS will then reschedule your oath ceremony at a later date.

*** Remember you do NOT become an AMERICAN CITIZEN until you have taken the OATH.
