Timeframe to get receipt number for I485

Hi folks:
My I-485 pacakge reached USCIS on July 18, 2007.
Do you know how long will it take to get the receipt notice for the I-485 filing. What is the time frame to get the receipt notice in general?
Also, will the receipt notice be sent to me or my attorney?

Well, the June filers didn't received yet. I am sure both processing centers are swamped by July applications ... this will considerably slow down the receipt notice issuance. At this time we can only wait and watch for postings ...
