Timeframe for I-485 processing once they get to your receipt date

I am new to this forum and I have found some very useful information. Thank you to all the great contributors.

If my 485 has a receipt date of June 1, 2004. Then will my 485 be approved as soon as they start processing cases with a receipt notice date after my date?

On https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=Vermont it does say that you should contact them if the processing date shows more than 30 days than your receipt date

I am trying to estimate the time they will take to get to my case. What has the general experience been?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Nobody can certainly say when your case will be approved... Yes most of the time when the processing date is around your receipt date your case will be adjudicated. But this is not true always.

You need to give more information on your case. EB1/EB2/EB3, country you were born in, FP status etc...

Also why don't you join Vermont 2004 Tracker... That is a very useful forum..

Good luck

Thanks for the info. Here are my details

EB3
India
FP: scheduled for April 2, 2005
I-140: Approved in Nov. 2004
I-485 Receipt date: June 4, 2004

I will join the Vermont 2004 tracker!

Pd?

If your labor was applied before 2002, you are in luck - see the normal processing dates. If your labor was applied after that, retrogression applies to you and will have to wait...

My labor was applied on 9/17/01 and was approved on 5/16/03.

I am confused though about the PD (priority date). From the way I understand, this is the date on the I-40. My I-40 has been approved but my lawyer has not sent me a copy of it so I dont' know this date. Since I already have my I-140 and have applied for I-485, how does the PD matter?

My notice date on I-485 is June 4, 2004. So shouldn't I be looking for this date to become current?

Thanks for all your help!

Your PD...

... is labor receipt date - so by your info, retrogression does not apply to you. As to your question about when they will touch your file - anyone's guess is as good as yours. There are people who have 485s filed from 4 years ago and more still waiting... others from 2003 / 2004 are getting approved.

All the best!
