Time taken to update Status in SSN after getting the GC

hi,

does anybody know the time taken to update the status in SSN after getting the GC.

I am waiting for more than 2 months.
 
I think no one updates for you. You have to go to the local SSN office and apply for a new card. You need to carry your plastic card with you when you go to local SSN office.

I am sorry, Miss communication.
I got my GC in December. I applied for SSN status update in SSN office at March.
The SSN office told me I will get my new card in 6 to 8 Weeks.
I completed 10 Weeks still waiting.
Any Idea ?

We got in exactly 6 days from the day we applied for SSN cards after the approval. Just make another trip and find out at SSN office...
 
6 to 8 weeks are way too long. They can send you a new card within 2 weeks if they already have your record updated in their system, othewise, they may need to confirm with INS for your status and the waiting time in this case is unpredictable.
