Time taken for H1B stamping

Hi, I just received my 2nd H1B extension with premium processing in 10 days. Now, my questions are...

- How long does it take now a days to get it stamped on the passport?
- I send my passport for stamping and if I have to go to India for any kind of emergency, is there any procedure to get your passport back? If so how long does it take?
- Any suggestions on getting it stamped in India?

Hi nvnr,
Congrates for your H1B in 10 days.

1. It will take around 3-4 months to get stamped.
2. In case of emergency you can ask them for sending back your passport, this information is available at their site. I think you get without stamped.
3. No idea.

Couple of questions from my side:

I applied H1B extension via premium on monday(04/12/2004), so far i am not received receipt(LIN). Could you tell me:

1. when you got your receipt i.e LIN number and how? i mean is it by email or mail?
2. Is it 10 working days or 10 days?
