I read that in order to be eligible to apply for naturalization, the following conditions must be met:

a) Must be 5 years since Green Card approval
b) Applicant must have been physically present in the US for atleast 30 of the last 60 months
c) Any absence out of the country during those last 5 years must be less than 6 months long
d) Applicant must have been physically present in the US for at least 1 year continuously (without any trip outside USA) during the last 5 years.

Is it possible to get a waiver on the condition d) above? What if the applicant's job involves lot of international travel?

Thanks.

I don't think condition (d) is a valid one. I haven't heard any such condition so far. I hope this helps...

Condition d) is not true
so only a,b and are the conditions, but i think even if you follow those rules it will depend on the officer of how he will juge about your trip abraod

Thanks for the clarifications. Clearly, my information was incorrect.

Is it possible that condition d) is required when filing a N470 (application to preserve residence)? In such a case, maybe condition d) can be used as a substitute for condition c)?

Also, in condition c) - is the correct period 6 months or 1 year?
Thanks.
