Hi I am new in this forum and i have question about filing for citizenship. I got my green card on 08/18/2000 and till today its my continious residence. Please tell me when is the best time for me to file for citizenship. I understand that I can apply 90 before the 5 year period but one of the attorney told me that If I give him my case he can file the application 6months prior. My question is that how this attorney can file 6 months prior? is there any lopewhole in the law that this attorney gonna take advantage of? and if this attorney can file 6 months prior why myself can't apply 6 months prior completing 5 years.

I will appreciate the comments

There is no loophole, i am aware of.... to my knowledge u can apply 90 days prior to ur 5 years residency.
Syed.. and which state u live in, and what is ur district office.????

and most of us here dont have attorney, because if ur case is simple with no criminal record its OK to file it by urself. application is atraight forward and so are rules. so u dont need a wakeel unless u are Gabbar singh.

my 5 sents :D
