Time line for plastic card ?

This might be the wrong forum but I have become so used to talkin to guys here .. My I-485 was approved on 3/14/02 . PP stamped for myself and wife 4/3/02. I just checked the AVM and for me it says "Processing completed for GC and a card will be ordered etc" but for my wife it still says "This case was approved etc.". In the past our timeline has been exactly the same. I know the AVM is not relaible but does anyone have any idea about the timeline of the AVM changes after stamping leading to the plastic card ? thanks folks.

You are not alone

In the after the green card forum in this website, there are some people who have reported the same situation as yours. I think it is not a good sign, in the sense that this may mean a lengthy (as like in forever) wait for the plastic card to arrive for your wife. It seems that "normal" complications for plastic card are:

* fingerprints not scanned
* documents don\'t make it to service center (many points of failure).

I am not sure, but there are potentially many other problems, like pictures misplaced, or any other you may think.

In my case the AVM changed at the same time for all my family two or three weeks after stamping, but I am still waiting for the plastic card.

If you think the situation warrants calling an IIO, you can do this, and find the status of your wife\'s plastic card application, if they tell you they don\'t know anything about her case, you may go to the office where you did the stamping and try to find out what\'s wrong.
