Time frame to travel to US after F1 visa stamp

Hello all
I had my F1 visa stamp done this month, but i cannot travel until next year,
I have deferred my admissions to next summer.
What i want to know is , is there any rule which specifies that u have to use the visa within certain time frame.
Will my visa expire if i dont come within one year?
My visa is for 5 years.

Get confirmed deferred admission letter from school

Assuming you will not change school in a year\'s time at POE the letter of deferred admission can help show that you did not enter US and did not enroll.
