Time frame to get an interview notification from the Consulate

Hello,
My I-485 application has been forwarded to the Chennai consulate by the National Visa Center in September 06. Could some of the members on this forum who have gone through CP kindly tell me how long it might take before I get an interview notification from the Consulate?

I just got the interview notification from the US Consulate - Chennai. My interview is scheduled on february 12, 2007. So, it took about 5 months from the time my case was forwarded to Chennai to the time I got an interview notification

Wow, it took tthat long. Can you provide some more details about the process i.e IV fee, packet 3 etc. My I140 just got approved two days back. I am going for CP. Wanted to know about the further steps.
