Time for CP

Hello all,

I got my labor approved recently from california and I will be filing for I-140 within a week or so. If I get my 140 (with CP option) approved by end of September, when I will I get a CP interview date for chennai (approximately)?

I like your optimism about your I-140 approval time, and wish
you luck there!

From the date of approval of your I-140 it should take anything
like 6 to 8 months for you to complete your interview at Chennai.

I thought I was pessimistic, as a collegue of mine got his 140 approved in 10 days :) I hope it works out for me too.

The California service center is forging ahead with very rapid I-140 processing - so processing periods of 2-3 months are quite routine. Unfortunately, the waits are MUCH longer at the other BCIS service centers.

A friend of mine got his I-140 from CSC in less than 2 weeks whereas the other got in about 50 days...neither had RFE;s.

So like Raju mentioned about I-140 process time (assume 1-2 months) + time to get CP interview afetr I-140 approval (approx 7 months =/- 1 month)...you are more than likely looking at less than 10-11 months from filing I-140 to getting the CP interview in chennai.
