thoughts for the forlorn

Waiting for something to happen is probably the most painful task one can endure. The trick is not to wait but to enjoy the journey. This may seem rather divine but it is pragmatic especially in this GC adventure. Here are some thoughts we should consider if the wait becomes particularly gruelling:

1) Most importantly enjoy your job, irrespective of the salary amount. Work hard and don't pay too much attention to the economic hardship out there. It can be quite caustic and derailing.

2) Don't think too about your family back home. They're fine and the wait is quite short before you see them. Longing for them will only confine you to your perceived situation.

3) Don't consider your employer to be the master, but the one that offered the opportunity to reach the GC. Deliver results for them beyond their expectations.

4) I am thankful that I submitted my documents in 02/02 now I am already 9 months into this final step. Each month that goes by I consider a fulfilling accomplishment of perseverence and hard work you should too.

5) This wait is fun in plenty of ways, you get to visit boards like this and see so many people in situations that are actually quite pleasant but the perceived endless wait sure puts a negative spin on the attitude.

6) This thanksgiving let's be thankful that we have been fortunate enough to reach this stage, it truly is the final stretch of the race to the finish line. If it's feeling stretched out, consider it a marathon and take plenty of salts and water, this supply will surely help with the cramps.

7) Let's enjoy the process, this is after all America and we're earning the greenbacks and living a decent life style, the GC is only a formality once this application is in. When we receive the GC, the same life challenges will still be there, the GC will come, let's exert our energies on the more important aspects of our lives.

Enough cheer, have a peaceful weekend.

Good thoughts

Mr. Harris.

I am also one of the Oct 01 (RD 10/1, ND 11/21) filer.

I have only one thing to say: patience is a virtue.

Good things happen to people who wait.

Good luck to you all !
